Anton Cruz had a defining moment when two child beggars turned down his money and asked him to help a baby left by the roadside instead.

The baby died in his arms on the way to the hospital.

That encounter led him to start Royal Kids School of Transformation, where some of the lowest-caste children in India — many considered "untouchable" — are given education some don't think they deserve.

One day these kids, highly trained in academics and equipped in the right values, will be the next leaders. And because they themselves have experienced injustice and poverty, they will know how to address these issues and ignite change in the nation of India. I look forward to when that time comes."
