What makes you come alive? Meet the women who do what makes them come alive. Women charting paths, changing lives, championing causes.

There's no force more powerful than a determined woman. This International Women’s Day, Our Better World salutes all women who are making a difference for a better world.

Meet Maureen. She reinvented herself from finance executive to animal-assisted therapist for children, youth and the elderly - with the help of a labrador whom you may recognise as Telly the therapy dog!
Meet Ras. She’s a diver who is afraid of the sea. She’s also wheelchair bound. She lives her life on the fringes of her comfort zone, with the support of Society of PSP (People Support People) Malaysia.
Meet Pelf. Her love of turtles fueled her passion to start her own NGO, the Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia, where she not only saves turtles and terrapins but helps surrounding villages too.
Meet TJ. She is not your average policewoman. She sees the good in people, and has gone out of her way to understand and protect children in conflict with the law.

Meet Linda. She’s battled cancer with spunk and an attitude so positive and happy, that her enthusiasm for life has inspired many others.
Meet Sally. She is mother to Jarene who has Moebius Syndrome. Moebius Syndrome affects Jarene's face, mouth and throat muscles. She speaks and learns differently - and this is something most people aren’t accustomed to. Sally inspires everyone with her empowering spirit in caring for Jarene, and supporting families with special needs.
Meet Adele. She’s destroyed the millennial stereotype because of her belief in friendship. She and her friends came together to form Ultra Mega Friends Foundation. Together, they pool money together every month to finance a college student in need in hopes that these students will pay it forward.
Meet Anthea. She has started a social movement that gives the deaf community employment, who in turn give those who can hear, the power to stop and listen.
Meet Vivienne. She found her secret to happiness: dedicating her life to saving the street animals in India
Meet Dinny. She is passionate about helping marginalised women weavers in Indonesia enter the global market.
